Introduction of “MoxSpec Metrics Agent”
We are happy to make this announcement “MoxSpec Metrics Agent” is now available to everyone in the community, which will assist a broader range of people who are looking at collecting hardware / server metrics in real time and analyze these metrics as a time series data.
“MoxSpec Metrics Agent” is a utility tool to capture a variety of metrics where you find most commonly used as well as some unique metrics e.g. power consumption to a large scale infrastructure operator, which will allow to monitor and manage data center power ops to be optimized.

MoxSpec Metrics Agent is designed to address retrieving the time series data to be consumed by databases e.g. M3DB. MoxSpec is a local agent where we intend to stay open to inject these metrics to variety of available tools where the agent today supports “Prometheus Remote Write” and shortly coming up with an update including JSON, where tools like Fluentd / Fluent Bit should be able to transit the data to your enterprise backends like Splunk.
